Located in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, bordering South Africa's famous Kruger National Park, Savanna captures the charm of Africa. Stylish accommodation combined memorable big game viewing and a fascinating insight into the local tribal customs of the Shangaan people, all forms part of your bush adventure.

Rooms

Savanna offers three different types of accommodation: Four Luxury Suites with en suite facilities and tented roofs. The rooms are air conditioned with a fully stocked mini bar and tea/coffee station, telephone and private verandah. The three executive suites are similarily furnished. In addition the suite has a large bedroom with lounge area, the bathroom has a large bath and double shower as well as an outdoor shower. Adjacent to the wooden deck is a private plunge pool. The Savanna suite comprises two separate, en suite bedrooms separated by a large lounge and dining room, all under thatch. Ideal for families, additional facilities include: double shower , large bath and as well as an outdoor shower adjacent to the bathroom. Each room has aprivate wooden deck and plunge pool as well as a view of a floodlit game waterhole. The main living area contains a fully equipped kitchen, lounge with fireplace and a TV with multi channel access and DVD recorder/player. Private meals can be arranged to be served in the Savanna Suite on requested with a barman or waiter in attendance. Each Savanna Suite has the service of a personal Game Ranger and Tracker as well as a private game drive vehicle.

Facilities

Game drives are conducted by professionally qualified game rangers and trackers, who are experienced and knowledgeable on all aspects of the bush. Lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino, cheetah, hippo and crocodile plus a multitude of general game and over 450 bird species may be viewed from the comfort and safety of the open game drive vehicle.Optional walking safaris are conducted daily. Daily trips from the Lodge to the local Shangaan Village and a tour of the scenic Panarama route is offered. These activities are offered during the day and will not affect participation in the daily game drives.

Back at the lodge guests can enjoy game viewing in comfort from the upstairs Library. The lodge contains a curio shop, a wireless broadband internet terminal and a facility for transferring digital photographs to cd. The large lounge and dining room both have a view of the beautiful swimming pool and a few metres further, the waterhole. The open air boma, also overlooking the floodlit waterhole, creates a warm, friendly atmosphere, where guests may enjoy a traditional African meal under the stars.
